Could really use some more research on this.

The Chinese food processing industry is virtually unregulated. Yet, American apple juice processors buy apple concentrate from China. So when your child drinks apple juice made by Tropicana, Mott and Apple & Eve, read the label. The concentrate is from China.
These companies are trading profit for safety. Urge them to use only American made apples and apple concentrate. Or don’t use their product.
Over the past months, pets have died from pet foods tainted with ingredients made in China. Poison has been blended into toothpastes used by children. And lead routinely shows up in toys made by top American toy manufacturers. All this is in spite of annual inspections of plants.
The fact is American companies have been lax in protecting the American public. So you should take action now.

Jean McDermott replied on Mar 21, 2008I have been researching this myself, though it is hard going. I have found out that Tree Top also uses Chinese apple concentrate, as do most grocery store brands.

Jean McDermott replied on Mar 21, 2008Also, the apple concentrate in Juicy Juice is from China, which is unfortunate, since it it marketed so heavily to children.

James Couplin replied on Nov 21, 2008STOP using China products if we can. We do not know what they do to us and our children until the next 10, 20 years!
I just got a box of CapriSun from Costco with label Product of China without knowing this. I will not give it to my child.
I also just joined the campain.

Bought a case of Capri Sun and it had the Product of China label on it. Emailed them to let them know I’m done with their juices. I also inquired about milk powders and they said they do not import any milk products from China for US products.
Martinellis juices are made from 100% US grown apples, totally worth it, the juice is fabulous!

I just joined and it looks like Hansen’s Apple juice has concentrate from CHINA. I was totally floored. I emailed them asking about their label that was imprinted on the side of the plastic- CONC of USA and/or China.
I emailed them to ask them about it and i plan to call them on monday. I also want them to know I wont ever buy their juice again. Anybody know of any apple juice from here? I plan to try and find local apple juices and also I asked Martinelli’s if they used only apples from USA and where their concentrate came from. This is opening my eyes to eat local food and where my food is coming from. In this failing economy I will no longer give my money to companies who use cheap and unsafe products.
