If we reach our fundraising goal of $7,000, the proceeds from my next CD will go to Oxfam’s efforts to create long term solutions to global poverty and injustice.
I am writing to ask you to contribute to the release of this record. Your contribution will go to producing, manufacturing, and marketing the CD. 70% of the money from sales of the CD will go to Oxfam with the remainder to be used for further marketing and manufacturing needs. If another label is interested in releasing the record I will negotiate terms in such a way as to ensure substantial proceeds will go to Oxfam. If you contribute you will receive two copies of the CD (they make great gifts!), the satisfaction of supporting Oxfam, and my lasting gratitude.

Thank you!
Ben Connelly released several albums on various labels in the 90s with rock band Steeplejack and three solo CDs on his own label in the new millennium. His songs have appeared on radio across the U.S., and in national television and film productions. Live he transports audiences across the northern Midwest and East and West coasts with what Minneapolis’s City Pages describe as “furious finger-picking and top-notch tunes.”
"Packed with a lethal dose of charm…a heaping helping of sweetness, sorrow, spirituality and lust channeled through a well-worn heart.”
-St. Paul Pioneer Press, MN
“After the first lines I was sold…Connelly writes songs that glow after repeated listens.” -Chicago Daily Herald, IL
“blessed with urgent musicianship, passionate vocals, entertainingly off-kilter compositions, and an overall feeling of immediacy.”
-Nashville Scene, TN
“minimal and whimsical aching heart songs”
-Washington Post, D.C.
“The incisive humor doesn’t overpower Connelly’s bright songwriting or able guitar.”
-Performing Songwriter Magazine
Oxfam International seeks increased worldwide public understanding that economic and social justice are crucial to sustainable development. We strive to be a global campaigning force promoting the awareness and motivation that comes with global citizenship while seeking to shift public opinion in order to make equity the same priority as economic growth.
We work with poor people:
We seek to help people organize so that they might gain better access to the opportunities they need to improve their livelihoods and govern their own lives. We also work with people affected by humanitarian disasters, with preventive measures, preparedness, as well as emergency relief.
We influence powerful people:
Experience of the real issues confronting poor people is linked to high-level research and lobbying aiming to change international policies and practices in ways which would ensure that poor people have the rights, opportunities and resources they need to improve and control their lives.
We join hands with all people:
Popular campaigning, alliance building and media work designed to raise awareness among the public of the real solutions to global poverty, to enable and motivate people to play an active part in the movement for change, and to foster a sense of global citizenship.
