If we reach our fundraising goal of $7,000, the proceeds from my next CD will go to Oxfam’s efforts to create long term solutions to global poverty and injustice.
I am writing to ask you to contribute to the release of this record. Your contribution will go to producing, manufacturing, and marketing the CD. 70% of the money from sales of the CD will go to Oxfam with the remainder to be used for further marketing and manufacturing needs. If another label is interested in releasing the record I will negotiate terms in such a way as to ensure substantial proceeds will go to Oxfam. If you contribute you will receive two copies of the CD (they make great gifts!), the satisfaction of supporting Oxfam, and my lasting gratitude.

How cool to be writing to you on the eve of this amazing moment for our nation!
The album you funded, “The Great I Don’t Know Why”, is done and I want to send it to you. The actual release date is not until Feb. 24, but what the heck.
The Minneapolis CD release show is March 1 at the Bryant Lake Bowl and I will be touring in April and May. It would be very cool to see you. Tour dates will be posted at www.benconnelly.com
Please send me your mailing address and let me know if you’d like 1 or 2 (or more if you contributed a bunch of money) copies of the CD.
You all have been great in your support, and I really hope you enjoy the music.
