- Beta Sigma Beta, Pi Beta Phi, and Sigma Delta Tau will organize the Autism Speaks 5k Race on 4/4/09

If we reach exactly 275 people by November 30, 2008, then We will participate in the 5K race and raise $100 each for the Autism Speaks Foundation
- THE PITCH

Autism is a brain development disorder which is characterized by abnormalities of social interactions and communication. About 1 out of every 1000 infants develop this disorder.
We Are…Curing Autism Now/ Autism Speaks 5K race will be presented by Penn State Greek organizations’ Beta Sigma Beta, Pi Beta Phi, and Sigma Delta Tau. In our short 3 years of this event, we have successfully raised over $443,000 for Autism research. Last year we registered over 1,500 race participants. Free breakfast is provided before the race, as well as lunch afterward. Everyone who signs up will receive a free T-Shirt and a guaranteed fun time. Most importantly, participants will be supporting a cause that affects so many people on a daily basis.
Once at least 275 people have joined this campaign, we’ll open up registration for the race at www.PsuCureAutismNow.org. We look forward to donating this money to cure autism and hope to see everyone on April 4, 2009… We know this will be the best year yet!
