We received the mixes from the engineer, at least initial mixes, just in time to meet the annual deadline for submission of our music to the 2010 Independent Music Awards contest, Contemporary Christian music category for Best Album and for Best Song!!
Pray for our impact on the judges there please…..

The process of recording was very blessed with lots of favor and wonderful outcomes — now we turn our attention to creating the artwork to be with the album — we need funds in order to be able to print the important poetic lyrics with the CD — each CD will cost significantly more to produce with this text booklet — so we are hoping to find supporters who can help with this portion.

The recording sessions went fantastic — results should be really powerful - we were blessed at every turn in the process of long, productive days in the studio and impact on lives already just from our presence, and the message of the lyrics. Funds will now be needed to fund the Grammy-award winning engineer to mix (where all the instruments, percussion, lead vocals, harmonies, and effects are tightened, tuned, blended, and put together in the right way to sound fantastic) -

This site is really innovative in its way of connecting people of like mind who are trying to accomplish something and need others to do it — what a wonderful idea and I hope it succeeds to change the way people create and move to change…..
It reminds me of the new vision for how artists and authors will create just by putting out new project ideas to their fans and raising the support there from people who want to hear or read more……rather than the whole commercialization machinery which ends up making what “sells”, therefore more of the same (think Hollywood films vs. independent films for the difference between big budget formulaic, repetitive, predictable, tired, and been-there-done-that films vs. fresh, creative, quirky, new, unusual, make-you-think films).
Chipping into independent artists’ efforts to create a new thing seems like the ultimate grass-roots revolt to anti-art commercialization of the music industry.

We are so blessed to be working with these supportive, ministry-minded guys (Patrick Siegel, Billy Smiley, Bill Wittington, and Blair Masters) who have worked with all the best in the business, Newsboys, MercyMe, Steven Curtis Chapman, Avalon, Sandy Patti, etc…..and they are really enthusiastic about the music we are hoping to share. They are eager to introduce us to people who know how to get the music and message out there, especially to a European market…..
We would appreciate prayer support as we finalize the music decisions and get ready to spend an intense week in the studio August 10-16th
