The CD is here and we want to spread the word — the product is fantastic — still looking for funding support to get the music distributed….

“Things I Forgot to Say at the Concert:
I didn’t really forget to say anything, its just the whole story is hard to tell simply/concisely: The back-story to our recording project is that the whole thing has been an awesome God-thing — especially starting with our meeting via one Craigslist ad, songs and lyrics which have been purely God-given — but here are the latest signs:
1. Our home-made demos made on my laptop were heard on Myspace by an experienced producer of independent Christian artists who wanted to help us make an excellent production of our songs in the recording capital.
2. This producer put us together with the multi-gold record and platinum-record and Grammy-winning engineer (Bill Whittington) and programmer (Blair Masters), people who work with major recording artists like Karla Bonoff and MercyMe and Casting Crowns and Carol King and Sara Groves and Wynonna and Whitney Houston and Bethany Dillon and Newsboys and Michael W Smith and Amy Grant and Bebe and Cece Winans and Garth Brooks and Steven Curtis Chapman and Twila Paris and 4Him and Avalon and on and on and you get the picture…. what?!?!
3. The best-known vocal coach anywhere, Debra Byrd, vocal coach to every American Idol and Canadian Idol, replied one full year after my initial email inquiry to say she had space and subsequently traveled repeatedly to my home to work with me on my vocals. She is eagerly awaiting the CD. True story.
4. A seasoned Nashville session cellist, John Catchings, came in for 3 hours and after hearing each song once improvised/recorded the most stunning cello lines I ever heard for 4 of our songs. For really small dollars. We are forever indebted and in love with this man for doing this for our songs.
5. We got to use the talents of my brother from Wheaton, IL on guitar and BGV — by traveling to producer’s studio in Goshen, IN, which allowed us to visit our church’s founding pastor and family.
6. An artist who designs Emmy-winning movie posters, Samuel Valdez, directed our photos and designed our beautiful album art and lyrics booklet—It turns out we are the last freelance Christian album project he will take on due to his job intensity. gheesh.
7. Early November, our concert background vocalist, Lauren Waisanen, was hit into the center divider on 210 freeway, walked away with bruises. Still stayed committed to performing. Amazing.
8. Friday 11/6 we were informed that problems with the art files held up the CD and lyrics booklet printing to be not ready for 11/14 concert-time, except QBT Media super-rushed it for us and finished in time, 5 minutes before closing time ! Perfect timing.
We feel so grateful and so happy to have had the chance to share the music with Andrea’s church, so happy it was moving for people, and so happily surprised that teens thought it was cool (?) and little kids are saying they want to keep listening to the CD. Whoa."
