Campaign Closed: "Adopted Blind Yorkie Dog (Asti) Would Love to See Again" announced about 1 year ago

Asti, an adopted 12 yr old Yorkie, has recently lost her vision to cataract. Asti is an extremely rambunctious old lady, who is often mistaken for a puppy. This precious dog lost her vision to cataract a few months ago. Prior to losing her vision, she loved playing with her balls for hours at a time. Since she has lost her vision, she continues to play with her balls, but she can no longer find her ball when it stops bouncing. My temporary solution was to slit her tiny balls, and insert tiny bells inside. When the balls stop bouncing and rolls, she is still able to find it. She no longer enjoys her Yorkie meet-up group as much as she did. She just crawls onto my lap and sleep. I’m afraid this handicap may cause her to lose some of her livelihood, which may shorten her life span. I still expect many many years out of her! A friend of mine was blessed with a Yorkie who lived a full happy life of 21 yrs, and I hope Asti can be blessed with a long life as well.

For every $25 increments pledged, a hand-knit doggy sweater (by me!) will be donated to the yorkie rescue, Yorkies Inc., for the up coming cold Boston weather. And if you happen to have a little one, the doggy sweater can be sent to you. I only knit Small and X-Small’s!
And again, all pledges are not charged to your credit card, unless the goal amount has been reached!
And kindly share this with your friends, and their friends, and so on and so on and so on….
And advance Thank You’s to you all from me & Asti ♥

Please be advise that for every increment of $25, a hand-knit (by me) doggy sweater will be donated to the Yorkies Inc. If you pledge $25 or more and have a little one (sizes x-small and small only) who would love to wear a nice warm sweater, I can ship it out to you.
Thanx again,
Wendy & Asti
