Note on tax-deduction

Posted by Colorsjon_icon

  • For those of you getting questions while fundraising, tax deduction IS available to your donors. If they donate through a widget or through our website then they automatically get a receipt. If you are accepting checks from them just make sure they’re made out to Edurelief and we’ll mail them one when you send in your donations. Cash also works, just note it all down with names and addresses and we’ll make sure those people get their receipts.

Note on personal donations. If you are the fundraiser and donate the $1,000 personally (or part of it). Only amounts after $150 will count as personal tax deduction since you are infact receiving something in return for your work we cannot give fundraisers personal tax deduction for their first $150.
