THE PITCH

The idea is to create a campaign that will cause a chain reaction. People who join this campaign pledge to start their own specific campaigns to do something real in their communities.

We all know that we can give money to Obama, but there are also a lot of good things for people to do with their friends or networks to help get Barack elected.

These campaigns should be specific. For example:

1.) Organize a group of 100 friends to take a bus to canvas in a swing state.
2.) Recruit 75 people to drive elderly to polling stations on election day.

Please keep these campaigns manageable and attainable. The more realistic (drive, call, email, raise) and specific (100 people, $1,000) a campaign, the more likely it is to succeed. Everyone that joins these campaigns should also encourage others to start their own campaigns.

If you haven’t carved your pumpkin for halloween, visit the campaign to carve pumpkins to get out the votes. You can do slogans, picture, and more.

There’s a campaign with some pumpkin patterns at http://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/carve-your-pumpkins-to-get-out-the-vote-on-nov-4 if you want to check it out.
