OBJECTIVE
Using the power of 10 to build toilets for girls in the 3rd world enabling them to stay in school
TERMS

If we reach at least 400 TPs, then We will give money to: Water Aid and the one who collects the most TP from others. Split in half.

THE PITCH

Imagine holding it all day because there’s nowhere to go! Or walking off into the bushes only to be attacked by a wild animal or worse. If there isn’t a safe place to go at school girls simply don’t go. This is more so the case when they start their period.
When girls go to and stay in school it has greater positive impacts on their community. Bringing greater family planning into the picture and reduced poverty. Literate moms are even shown to vaccinate their children more often. And so the simple act of building toilets can have far reaching positive results.
It’s simple just contact 10 or more people have them pick up one unit of TP and include your name in ( ). We’re aiming for enough people ,to the power of ten, to participate to raise $4000. Whichever person(s) get the most people to participate will get half. If it’s one person they get 2000, if two it’s 1000 each to give to the charity of their choice.
Yeah shit happens but life shouldn’t have to stink!

bq.“In many cultures, women who have no access to a latrine must wait until it is dark to go to the toilet or they have to walk long distances to find an isolated spot.
This exposes them to the danger of sexual harassment, assault and animal attacks, never mind discomfort and sometimes illness.
…increasing female literacy has twice as much impact in cutting child mortality as does the same increase in male literacy.
In short, women use their education for the benefit of their whole family. For every extra year of maternal education, child mortality rates reduce by 8%, in part, for example, because illiterate mothers are only half as likely to have their children vaccinated. …”

cleaning and washing (41%) was the major
reason identified by survey respondent for
being absent during menstruation. This is
usually because of lack of water or due to
minor issues, such as missing door locks,
even when infrastructure of toilet is
present.”
